Guest Speaker for Tuesday June 19: Elward Engle
As a guest speaker for Wild Rose Kiwanis on June 19, Elward Engle will share his wealth of knowledge and love for Waushara County's amazing natural resources. Elward worked as a fisheries biologist and also on the preservation of unique natural areas during his career with the State DNR. He'll begin with some history, based on early surveyor records, of Native Americans fishing on what they called the HaHa McCheen River. Elward will explain how local citizens have been working to protect fragile streams and natural habitats. Mr. Engle is coordinating the summer Aldo Leopold Series of nature hikes being presented in Waushara County and will give an updated schedule.
Elward Engle will speak to Wild Rose Kiwanis on Tuesday, June 19 after a brief meeting which begins at 7:00 am. Everyone is welcome to join us for coffee and continental breakfast along with the meeting. Wild Rose Kiwanis meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays with guest speakers each 3rd Tuesday. Wild Rose Kiwanis meetings are held at the Wild Rose Community Room adjacent to the Patterson Memorial Library, 500 Division Ave, Wild Rose. Visit
